Job description

The Town Center at Tuckers Cove, located in Punta Gorda, FL, is pleased to announce an excellent career opportunity for a Full-Time Front Desk Receptionist! We are seeking a driven individual who is eager to learn, contribute, and grow within a fast-paced hospitality-focused property organization. As part of Troon, you'll contribute to a global leader in golf and community management.
Compensation: $21.00 hourly
Overview:
The Front Desk Receptionist answers all incoming calls to the main switchboard professionally and efficiently. Provides a positive and professional first impression to all guests and direct them accordingly.
Responsibilities:
  • Operates main switchboard. Determines purpose of calls and forwards calls to appropriate associate or department.
  • Provides callers with information such as company address, direction to the company location, company fax numbers, company website, and other related information.
  • Welcomes on-site visitors, determines nature of business, and announces visitors to appropriate personnel.
  • Receives and distributes all incoming packages (FedEx, UPS, DHL, etc.) by emailing the recipient.
  • Responsible for the ordering, receiving, and stocking of FedEx supplies.
  • Maintain phone extension, home address, and birthday chart lists.
  • Prepare and send weekly Travel Schedule.
  • Send birthday announcements.
  • Stuff and label birthday and anniversary cards sent monthly to property associates.
  • Control inventory relevant to the reception area.
  • Tidy and maintain the reception area.
  • Provide general administrative and clerical support and assist other departments with miscellaneous tasks as needed.
  • Regular and reliable attendance.

Education/Experience:
  • High school diploma or general education degree; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Physical Demands:
  • Typical office environment.
  • This is largely a sedentary role as associate must remain at the reception desk to perform duties listed above.
  • May need to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

Environment/Noise:
  • Noise level is moderate.

Job Knowledge, Skill, and Ability Preferences:
  • Must have the ability to read and speak English in order to perform the duties of the job.
  • Computer literate.
  • Must be proficient in MS Outlook.
  • Needs availability during the weekdays and weekends.
