Description
Job Overview:
The part-time Golf Pro Shop Attendant is responsible for providing outstanding customer service to members and guests while supporting the daily operations of the golf shop. This position includes greeting players, assisting with tee time check-ins, handling merchandise sales and ensuring a positive experience for all golfers.
Compensation: $16 per hour, based on experience.
FirstService Residential will compensate the successful candidate in accordance with the posted range. The salary or wage paid to the successful candidate will be commensurate with experience, education, and specific job responsibilities. For positions designated at a client's property, the salary or wage will also be determined by the client's directive. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
Your Responsibilities:
  • Welcome and assist members and guests, ensuring a professional and friendly experience
  • Check in golfers, process green/cart fees and confirm tee times through the reservation system
  • Answer incoming calls and provide accurate information on course conditions, rates, and available services
  • Handle retail transactions for golf apparel, equipment and accessories using the POS system
  • Maintain a clean, organized and visually appealing golf shop environment
  • Restock, merchandise and display products to enhance sales opportunities
  • Share basic product knowledge and offer golf-related assistance to customers
  • Collaborate with maintenance staff, marshals, starters and management to ensure smooth daily course operations

Skills and Qualifications:
  • Previous customer service or retail experience (preferred)
  • Knowledge of golf operations and merchandise is a plus (willingness to learn required)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to handle cash and operate a POS system accurately

Education and Experience:
  • Experience using ticket sales systems and payment processing systems
  • Degree in recreation, hospitality, or a communication-related field preferred
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in coordinating and promoting activities and events
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Physical Requirements:
  • Walk and move throughout the community common areas and facilities
  • Sit and stand for moderate periods of time
  • Sit at a desk using a computer in an office setting

Work Location: Surprise, AZ
Work Hours: Typical schedule is 20-29 hours per week, with shifts varying to meet business needs.
Must be available weekdays, weekends and holidays as shifts may vary based on golf operation needs.
