Job Summary
The Golf Shop / JR Golf Associate plays a key role in daily golf operations with a strong emphasis on junior golf instruction and player development. This position supports all aspects of the golf shop and member services, helping to deliver an exceptional golf experience. Primary responsibilities include assisting with junior golf programs, tracking daily play, safeguarding club assets, maintaining a clean and organized golf shop, supporting merchandising efforts, assisting with tournaments and events, and providing outstanding service to members and guests.
A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn are essential for success in this role and within the Woodhill golf operation.
Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with junior golf instruction and youth golf programs.
  • Support daily golf operations, including tracking play and tee sheets.
  • Maintain organization, cleanliness, and presentation of the golf shop.
  • Assist with merchandising, inventory, and product displays.
  • Help coordinate and execute golf tournaments and events.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to members and guests.
  • Protect and control golf shop and club assets.

Requirements
Required Experience
  • Previous experience working with junior golfers, PGA Junior League, youth golf camps and junior golf instruction.
  • The ideal candidate will be a skilled golfer with previous experience assisting junior golf instruction or player development programs.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills.
  • High level of attention to detail and ability to balance multiple tasks effectively.

Required & Preferred Qualifications
  • Golf playing background (e.g., varsity high school golf, collegiate golf at any level, or just enjoy playing the game).
  • Strong understanding of golf fundamentals and mechanics, with the ability to assist in junior instruction.
  • Passion for the game of golf and player development.
  • Patience and enthusiasm for working with children and junior golfers.
  • Previous experience with junior golfers, PGA Junior League, youth golf camps, or junior instruction is strongly preferred.

Expected Hours of Work
Flexible scheduling - daytime, evening, and weekend shifts. We are looking for many types of availability, as we are extremely flexible. We hope to welcome you to Woodhill starting in mid to late June 2026. Woodhill Country Club is currently in the middle of golf course restoration project with plans to open the golf course early July 2026.
