Job description

Riverton Pointe Golf & Country Club is excited to announce an exceptional career opportunity for a Head Golf Professional. Riverton Pointe is located in Hardeeville SC just 30 minutes from Hilton Head Island.
As a member of the Troon team, you will contribute to the success of a globally recognized leader in golf and club management while helping to elevate the golf experience for our members and guests.
Position Summary
The Head Golf Professional is responsible for the overall management and execution of golf operations at Riverton Pointe Golf & Country Club. This position will ensure the highest standards of service, operational excellence, and member satisfaction while working collaboratively with the General Manager to achieve the club's strategic and financial goals.
The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic servant leader who inspires, mentors, and develops team members while fostering a culture centered on hospitality, professionalism, and excellence.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Lead and oversee all golf operations to ensure exceptional member and guest experiences.
  • Manage daily golf shop operations, tee sheet administration, and pace-of-play initiatives.
  • Coordinate and execute member tournaments, outside outings, college events, and section tournaments.
  • Administer tournament operations utilizing Golf Genius software.
  • Supervise and develop golf operations staff, including assistant professionals, golf shop associates, starters, rangers, and outside services personnel.
  • Provide golf instruction through private lessons, group clinics, and player development programs.
  • Manage merchandise operations, including purchasing, inventory control, merchandising, and monthly inventory reconciliation.
  • Oversee practice facility operations and cart fleet management.
  • Ensure compliance with USGA Rules of Golf and club policies.
  • Create and maintain a service-oriented atmosphere that promotes the game of golf and exceeds member expectations.
  • Collaborate with the General Manager in developing and executing annual business plans and operational goals.
  • Assist in the preparation, management, and monitoring of annual and monthly budgets.
  • Control expenses and payroll in accordance with budgetary objectives while maximizing revenue opportunities.
  • Maintain effective communication with members, guests, staff, and club leadership.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Required
  • PGA Class A Membership in good standing.
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university; or five to seven years of related golf industry experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience with computerized point-of-sale (POS) and tee-time management systems.
  • Experience utilizing Golf Genius tournament management software.
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.

Compensation & Benefits
Riverton Pointe Golf & Country Club offers a competitive salary commensurate with experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes health, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) with employer match, paid time off and Annual PGA Dues.
The base salary is $60,000- $64,000 based on experience and qualifications,
Lesson ,clinic and club repair income is additional to the base salary.
