Pediatrician - Founding Physician

New Pediatric Practice | Carolina Shores, North Carolina

Location: Carolina Shores, NC

Employment Type: Full-Time

Practice Status: New Practice Opening Soon

Build Something New in a Fast-Growing Coastal Community

We are launching a new pediatric practice in Carolina Shores, North Carolina, and seeking a pediatrician who wants more than a traditional associate role.

This is a rare opportunity to help build a practice in a growing coastal community with a clear need for accessible, relationship-driven pediatric care. Families in and around Carolina Shores, Calabash, and the surrounding Brunswick County area are looking for high-quality pediatric care closer to home, and this practice is being designed to help meet that need.

From day one, you will play a meaningful role in shaping the clinical experience, care model, patient relationships, and long-term vision of a practice built to serve the community for years to come.

Why Carolina Shores?

Carolina Shores offers an appealing combination of professional opportunity, lifestyle flexibility, and coastal living:

Located near Calabash, Sunset Beach, Ocean Isle Beach, and the North Carolina and South Carolina border

Easy access to Myrtle Beach, Wilmington, and the broader Brunswick County coastal region

A fast-growing area with strong residential growth and increasing demand for local services

A relaxed, family-friendly coastal lifestyle with beaches, restaurants, golf, and outdoor recreation nearby

The opportunity to make a visible impact in a community where pediatric access is needed

You get the impact and connection of a smaller community, while still enjoying access to nearby coastal destinations, regional amenities, and a high quality of life.

The Role

As a founding physician, you will be central to establishing how care is delivered and experienced in this new practice with the support and backing of Rainbow Pediatrics and Playground Pediatrics.

What you'll do:

Provide comprehensive pediatric care to infants, children, and adolescents

Build long-term, trusted relationships with families in the community

Help shape clinic workflows, culture, and patient experience

Participate in community outreach and local partnerships

Collaborate closely with medical and operational leadership as the practice grows

This role is ideal for a physician who values autonomy, purpose, and the opportunity to help build something meaningful from the beginning.

Qualifications

Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatrics

Eligible for medical licensure in North Carolina

DEA license, or ability to obtain

Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset

Interest in community engagement and practice-building

Compensation & Support

Highly competitive compensation package

Health, dental, and vision insurance

Generous paid time off and holidays

Malpractice coverage

Full operational and administrative support so you can stay focused on patient care

Opportunity to help shape the growth and direction of a new pediatric practice

Why This Opportunity Stands Out

This is not a standard replacement role. It is a chance to:

Be a founding physician in a thoughtfully designed pediatric practice

Serve a fast-growing coastal community with real need for pediatric access

Help build the patient experience, clinic culture, and care model from the ground up

Enjoy a coastal North Carolina lifestyle with proximity to beaches, restaurants, golf, and regional amenities

Build something meaningful, with room for leadership and long-term growth
