Position Overview:

The Outside Golf Services team plays a critical role in delivering an exceptional golf experience to members and guests. This highly visible, customer-facing position is responsible for providing outstanding service and hospitality while ensuring the smooth operation of the bag drop, golf cart fleet, driving range, and overall member experience. Team members in this role are expected to be organized, energetic, and proactive in meeting the needs of members and guests while upholding the club’s commitment to excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

Member & Guest Experience:

  • Provide a warm, professional, and personalized greeting to all members and guests upon arrival.
  • Assist members and guests with unloading and loading golf bags, ensuring clubs are cleaned and properly stored.
  • Use names when greeting golfers and build relationships by remembering details about their preferences.
  • Anticipate and exceed member needs, offering water, cold towels, or other comforts to enhance their experience.
  • Create a welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere, making every interaction memorable and engaging.

Golf Cart & Bag Storage Management:

  • Maintain, stage, and clean golf carts to ensure they are in top condition before and after each round.
  • Ensure carts are fully stocked with scorecards, tees, towels, and other necessary items.
  • Monitor and organize the cart staging area, keeping it presentable and efficient.
  • Ensure all member bags stored on-site are pulled and ready for play at least an hour and a half before their scheduled tee time. Clean each bag before play and return it to the assigned storage slot after the round.

Driving Range Operations:

  • Pick, wash, and restock range balls consistently to ensure a well-maintained practice area.
  • Set up and maintain the range with proper alignment sticks, bag stands, and station spacing.
  • Engage with members at the range, offering club cleaning and checking in on their practice session.
  • Ensure the chipping and putting greens are checked for and cleaned.

Team Collaboration & Course Support:

  • Work closely with golf professionals, starters, and other outside staff to ensure seamless golf operations.
  • Communicate effectively with the golf shop team regarding member preferences, guest arrivals, and special accommodations.
  • Assist with tournament setup, bag storage, and any additional needs for special events.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of all work areas, including bag storage, staging areas, and range facilities.

Requirements:

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • A positive attitude, team-oriented mindset, and proactive work ethic.
  • Prior golf or hospitality experience is preferred but not required.
