Position Summary

Horseshoe Bay Resort is seeking dependable, service-focused individuals to join our Golf Operations team as Golf Range Attendants. This position plays a vital role in delivering an exceptional practice and training experience by maintaining the driving range, short game areas, and practice facilities while assisting members and guests.

The Golf Range Attendant is responsible for collecting, cleaning, sorting, and stocking golf balls, preparing practice areas, maintaining facility presentation standards, and supporting daily golf operations. Success in this role requires attention to detail, a strong work ethic, excellent guest service skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced outdoor environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and maintain the driving range, short game areas, and practice facilities to resort standards.
  • Collect, wash, sort, and restock golf balls throughout the day to ensure adequate inventory.
  • Set up and replenish practice stations, including tees, bag stands, caddies, and ball pyramids.
  • Keep practice areas clean, organized, safe, and visually appealing at all times.
  • Provide friendly and professional service to members and guests.
  • Assist with bag handling and club cleaning as needed.
  • Walk practice areas to assist golfers and maintain service standards.
  • Maintain cart staging, bag drop, cart storage, wash-down areas, and surrounding golf facilities.
  • Support golf tournaments, outings, clinics, and special events.
  • Educate guests on course policies, pace of play expectations, safety guidelines, and golf facility procedures.
  • Assist with golf club rental inventory, cleaning, and tracking.
  • Perform general upkeep of golf operations facilities, parking areas, and surrounding grounds.
  • Follow all safety procedures and attend departmental meetings as required.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by Golf Operations leadership.

Qualifications

Required

  • Must be at least 16 years of age.
  • Valid driver's license with no moving violations within the previous three years.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented.
  • Ability to work weekends, holidays, and flexible schedules as business levels require.

Preferred

  • Previous golf, hospitality, resort, or customer service experience preferred but not required.
  • Knowledge of golf operations and golf etiquette is a plus.
  • Positive attitude and professional appearance.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Physical & Work Environment Requirements

  • Frequently required to stand, walk, use hands, and communicate with guests and team members.
  • Occasionally required to sit, climb, balance, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Regularly lift up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work outdoors for extended periods in varying Texas weather conditions.
  • Must be comfortable working around moving golf carts, maintenance equipment, and practice facility machinery.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of energy and productivity throughout the shift.
