Job description

Position Summary
  • As a Dishwasher at Sand Valley, you will be an important part of the culinary team, helping keep the kitchen clean, organized, and ready for each service. You will wash and store dishes, cookware, utensils, and equipment while maintaining kitchen, storage, and receiving areas. Your steady support will help the team work efficiently and create a strong dining experience for every guest.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Wash all wares using the dishwashing machine or by hand.
  • Clean the receiving and trash areas.
  • Collect trash from kitchen areas, empty garbage barrels, wash and re-line with new bags.
  • Sweep and mop kitchen floors.
  • Store all dishes and other wares in proper areas.
  • Clean the dish machine after each meal period.
  • Assist with food preparation, putting away deliveries, and cleaning coolers, freezers, and storage rooms as needed.
  • Perform other duties as appropriate.

Qualifications
  • Applicants must be at least 16 years old by their first day of employment.
  • High school education preferred.
  • Restaurant experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated quality verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to analyze and solve problems; efficiently handle multiple duties under pressure with minimal supervision; work flexible hours as required including nights/weekends.
  • Physical stamina to stand, walk, lift, bend, and kneel for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally, 30 lbs. frequently, and 10 lbs. consistently.
  • Positive attitude, professional manner and appearance in all situations.
