Job description

JOB SUMMARY: The Golf Course Ranger/Starter is responsible for directing players in the proper manner of play and proper observance of the course rules and regulations. This is an at-will position. Other duties and responsibilities include:
  • Oversee first tee (starting groups, verifying receipts, recording cart numbers)
  • Enforce established rules of course among golfers
  • Manage water coolers on the course
  • Receives and responds to complaints from golfers
  • Responsible for driving, preparing, cleaning, and organizing golf carts for guests
  • Report any golf course maintenance or cart issues to the Manager
  • Attend District-wide part-time staff orientations, crisis trainings and office trainings as directed
  • Perform other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS: Must be at least 18 years of age with knowledge of the game of golf. Excellent customer service and people skills with a courteous and friendly personality is crucial. Ability to learn policies, rules & regulations of the course essential.
SCHEDULE & PAY: This is a part-time, seasonal position. Hours are flexible and include evenings, weekends, and holidays. Anticipated hiring pay range is between $15.00 - $16.00 per hour, dependent on qualifications.
