Season runs from September 2026 through April 2027

Patrols golf course (riding the course from the 18th hole to the 1st hole) to prevent unauthorized persons from using facilities, keep play running smoothly, and assisting injured or ill players.

Essential duties and responsibilities (this list is not intended to detail all aspects of the assigned work but is representative of the job's overall responsibilities):

• Greet and inform all golfers of upcoming and special events such as, tournaments, golf shop sales, golf demo days, golf schools/clinics and handout informational fliers.
• Review Starter sheet to get familiar with the day's play sheet.
• Make initial run of course when play starts to:
• Clear course of non-golfers.
• Check drinking fountains and rest areas for proper function and cleanliness.
• Check greens for missing flags or obvious ball mark repairs, repair divots on tee boxes, check for sand and seed mix at certain locations. Hand out bottles to guests if needed.
• Check ball washers, club washers, broken rakes, or any abnormal conditions, etc. Check driving range for empty range ball baskets and return them.
• Monitor golf play on a continuous basis, making presence known to slower players.
• Make sure all course rules are observed, both on the course and at the practice facilities.
• Report all serious incidents to the Golf Course Supervisor / Starter immediately.
• Assists injured or ill players and transports their equipment to clubhouse.
• Check with the Starter at the start and finish of each shift.
• Offer ice to all groups while making rounds.
• Maintains consistent record of acceptable attendance and punctuality according to policy guidelines.

Supervisory responsibilities: This job has no supervisory responsibilities. Receives general supervision from Pro Shop Manager.

Education and/or Experience: Sufficient training and education to demonstrate possession of required knowledge, skills and qualifications are required.

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
• Must have golf experience and basic understanding of golf rules and tee times
• Excellent interpersonal skills and prior experience on serving customers

Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

• Must be able to drive a golf cart for extended periods of time in a safe and prudent manner.
• Should be aware of their surroundings, while golf is in play, at all times.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, pick up range ball baskets and assist in the cleaning of the carts. The employee is regularly required to talk or hear, use hands to finger, handle, feel and reach with hands and arms.
• The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.

• The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
• Work is expected to be performed outdoors for the entire shift.
• Must have the ability to withstand extreme weather conditions of hot/cold.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to outside weather conditions and vibration.
