Job description

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
  • Operate powered equipment in trimming golf course greens, tees, fairways and roughs.
  • Lay sod.
  • Seed tees and fairways.
  • Maintain sand traps.
  • Assist with irrigation repairs.
  • Hand water.
  • Edge bunkers, sprinkler heads and yardage markers.
  • Work on landscaping and improvement projects.
  • Set up course.
  • Maintain ball washers.
  • Pick up garbage.
  • Prune trees and shrubs.
  • Maintain shrubs, flowers and landscaping.
  • Rake debris and leaves.
  • Remain alert, and inform management if anything appears out of the ordinary.
  • May work with large equipment including tractors, skid loaders and other maintenance equipment.
  • May be asked to perform tasks outside of job description due to diversity of work required in golf course maintenance.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience in grounds and maintenance work helpful.
  • Must be at least 16 years of age.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & ATTRIBUTES
  • Basic knowledge of tools, methods and materials used in grounds and maintenance work.
  • Knowledge and understanding of golf.
  • Able to operate trucks and light motorized equipment.
  • Able to follow written and oral directions.
  • Able to work well with others.
  • Friendly, courteous demeanor.
