TPC River Highlands is a private golf club located in Cromwell, Connecticut, just outside of Hartford. As the proud host of the PGA TOUR's Travelers Championship-the state's largest professional sporting event-it stands as one of the premier destinations in the TPC Network. Alongside its championship golf course, the clubhouse offers an exceptional setting for events of all kinds, with scenic views, multiple event spaces, and two full-service kitchens. The Course Advisor plays a key role in creating an exceptional golf experience by providing outstanding on-course service to members and guests. This position helps maintain pace of play, offers course assistance and information, and serves as a visible, friendly ambassador of the Club throughout the round.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Customer service experience preferred; golf, country club, or hospitality experience is a plus
  • Basic knowledge of the game of golf preferred
  • Friendly, professional demeanor with strong communication skills
  • Availability to work weekdays based on business needs

RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES
  • Provide exceptional service and support to members, guests, and PGA TOUR players throughout their round
  • Monitor pace of play and courteously encourage groups to maintain an enjoyable pace
  • Greet golfers and offer course information, directions, and assistance as needed
  • Communicate safety or emergency information clearly and professionally when necessary
  • Serve as a positive ambassador for the Club by promoting exceptional hospitality and PGA TOUR service standards
  • Assist with on-course operations, special projects, and other duties as assigned

Pay: $16.94/hour

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING ENVIRONMENT
This position is performed primarily outdoors and requires working in varying weather conditions. Candidates must be able to frequently walk, stand, lift, push, or pull up to 25 pounds (including cases of bottled water), and perform the physical duties required to support daily golf operations. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception, color vision, distance and peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus.
An essential function of the job is to be able to comply with all applicable federal, state and local safety and health regulations that would apply to this job.
