Job description

SUMMARY:

The Golf Outside Support Staff will ensure golf carts and practice facility meet the high standards of cleanliness and presentation of the Circling Raven Golf Club while providing optimal customer service to our guests. They should anticipate and fulfill guest and course needs providing our guests with a first class golf experience with enthusiasm and friendliness.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Properly set-up all practice facilities on a daily basis including the rotating of range, updating yardage and signs, preparing for Golf Academy Clinics and Lessons, and emptying garbage receptacles.
  • Monitor the Practice Facility every hour on the hour maintaining an adequate, well displayed and organized supply of practice balls for guests throughout the day. Collect, clean, and stack balls as necessary.
  • Keep the Practice Facility clean of broken tees and balls out of place, keep practice chipping and putting areas neat and clean clearing the Short Range at least twice daily.
  • Keep ball barn clean and organized.
  • Properly execute closing procedures each night preparing the practice facility for maintenance and/or next dayโ€™s activities.
  • Prepare and transport golf carts to the staging area at clubhouse and maintain adequate supply of carts throughout each day.
  • Ensure that each cart is clean and fully stocked with 6 tees, Circling Raven Pencil, a clean cooler, and the GPS is functioning
  • Help maintain Golf Cart Staging area, parking lot, and golf cart return. (clean/sweep up trash)
  • Properly clean each cart by emptying garbage & cooler, blowing out cart, and washing exterior and interior after each use.
  • Assist with cart fleet management by properly charging and storing each cart in the cart barn noting any mechanical issues or physical damage ensuring that carts are in good working order. Regularly detail golf carts according to golf cart detail schedule.
  • Keep Golf Cart Barn and surrounding clear and clean. Assure that the Golf Car Wash area is well maintained.
  • Enthusiastically greet each and every guest upon arrival, unloading golf bags from vehicles and placing on carts.
  • Address guest concerns immediately, appropriately and to their satisfaction. Communicate any problems and potential issues such as damages, lost items, problems, injuries and questions to the Head Professional or a member of the professional staff. Provide feedback to management on membersโ€™ comments and suggestions.
  • Greet all players as they come off the golf course from the 18th green, clean golf clubs, and assist guests with their golf bags either loading them in their vehicle or storing them if needed.
  • Ensure all rental clubs are returned & bags are fully intact, clean rental clubs, and return to clubhouse. Communicate any damage or issues to the Head Professional or a member of the professional staff immediately.
  • Bring all golf clubs around the clubhouse to the bag drop areas for cleaning.
  • Keep cart return area clean and uncongested.
  • Prepare tournament by staging fully stocked carts according to event specifications
  • Place all necessary signage & side game markers on course according to event specifications.
  • Ensure all practice areas are fully stocked and well-kept.
  • Shuttle players to and from Practice Facility
  • Prepare cart return area and when appropriate properly clean each cart by emptying garbage & cooler, blowing out cart, and washing exterior and interior.
  • Assist Professional Staff, Inside Staff, and Player Assistant staff as needed.
  • Shuttle guests to and from the hotel.
  • Clean Circling Raven Golf Club shuttle vehicles and range carts.
  • Communicate problems immediately to Head Golf Professional
  • Other projects and duties as assigned.ย 

QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Experience:

  • Must be currently attending School or enrolled in a GED Program, validation upon request.
  • Must be at least 14 years of age

Skills/Knowledge:

  • Must be able to work well in a team environment preferred.
  • Strong multi-tasking skills preferred.
  • Good organizational skills preferred.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills preferred.ย 
  • Basic problem solving and prioritizing skills preferred.
