Job description

GOLF SHOP CLERK, SEASONAL
The Kenosha County Division of Golf is accepting applications for seasonal Golf Shop Clerks to work at our two golf courses, Brighton Dale Links and Petrifying Springs. We are looking for energetic, enthusiastic, and hardworking individuals to assist in the day-to-day operations of the facilities. Candidates must be passionate about providing exceptional customer service to help provide world class playing, dining, and shopping experiences for our guests.
2026 Pay Range: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
Hiring Bonus
A Kenosha County seasonal Golf candidate who is successfully hired and employed for at least 30 days shall be awarded a $200.00 bonus to their paycheck.
WORK SCHEDULE
  • Seasonal employees generally work from March through October
  • Start dates will vary depending on weather and golf course conditions
  • Golf clubhouse hours of operation are typically dawn to dusk (5:30 A.M. to 9:00 P.M. depending on the season)
  • Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Answers phones and schedules tee times
  • Operates cash register and tee sheet system
  • Assists in receiving, stocking, and selling merchandise
  • Answers guests' questions regarding golf events, coupons, and other specials
  • Monitors and reports guests' pace of play
  • Assists with golf outings
  • Performs golf club repairs and spike changes
  • Opens and closes golf shop
  • Supervises and assists outside service and player support staff
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned

JOB REQUIREMENTS, EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE
  • Must be at least 18 years old at the time of application
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Retail experience preferred but not required
  • Must possess a valid driver's license at time of hire and maintain during incumbency, with acceptable driving record

  • Knowledge of basic math associated with currency exchange
  • Skill in communicating effectively with guests and co-workers
