Job description

Delcastle Golf Course, located in Wilmington, DE, is pleased to announce an excellent career opportunity for a part-time Maintenance Staff! We are seeking a driven individual who is eager to learn, contribute, and grow within a fast-paced hospitality-focused property organization. As part of Troon, you will contribute to a global leader in golf and community management.
Compensation: $18.00 per hour
General Purpose:
Provides daily housekeeping, laundry, towel services, and general maintenance services for all aspects of the operation, including offices, public spaces, restroom facilities, grounds, and other areas as required. This is a seasonal (Position will last 6 months or less).
Key Responsibilities:
  • Performs general housekeeping and maintenance for all areas within the operation, including, but not limited to: electrical, mechanical, and structural aspects of the buildings and grounds
  • Maintains cleanliness and appearance of the exterior of the facility, including, but not limited to: emptying trash cans, sweeping walkways, picking up litter, and arranging outdoor furniture
  • Assures the maintenance of the tennis courts and swimming pool
  • Maintains cleanliness and appearance of interior areas of the facility, including, but not limited to: emptying trash cans and ashtrays, sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, and arranging furniture
  • Identifies when supplies are needed and reports to the supervisor
  • Performs other duties as required

Education/Experience:
  • Less than high school education; or up to one month of related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

Physical Demands:
  • Frequently uses hands and reaches with hands and arms
  • Regularly climbs, balances, stoops, kneels, crouches, crawls, stands, walks, and sits
  • Frequently lifts or carries up to 50 pounds

Environment/Noise:
  • Occasionally works in wet or humid conditions, near moving mechanical parts, and fumes or airborne particles
  • Frequently works in outdoor weather conditions
  • Noise level is moderate

Certificates/Licenses:
  • No certifications or licenses are required

Job Knowledge, Skill, and Ability Preferences:
  • Ability to read and speak English may be required in order to perform the duties of the job (e.g., associates may be required to communicate with English-speaking customers or co-workers; equipment manuals may be in English)
