Job description

Overview
The Sugarloaf Golf Club is seeking Outside Service Attendants to work at one of the top golf courses in Maine. Outside Service Attendants are the first and last team members our guests encounter while at the golf course. Customer service is the number one priority for Sugarloaf Golf Club and Outside Service Attendants play a key role in maintaining our high standards.
Energetic, reliable and socially focused candidates who are detail-oriented are encouraged to apply.
At this time, we are looking to fill a few full and part time positions for the remainder of the season in this role, ideally with an early August start date. The busiest part of our season hits in late August and September so we are looking for candidates that can commit to a work role through mid-October. This position starts at a wage of $16/hr and is eligible for tips.
Responsibilities
Job duties include but are not limited to: managing golf cart fleet, maintaining practice facility, communicating with golf shop and course ambassadors, helping guests during arrivals and departures, maintaining bag drop, and other duties as assigned.
Outside Service Attendants work the majority of their shift outside and the job requires physical effort throughout the shift. Outside Service Attendants will have to pick golf bags up to 40 pounds and walk/run up and down hills. Morning shifts can start as early at 5:30 AM and closing shifts are dependent on when the last group is off the golf course.
Qualifications
Candidates need to be 16 years or older and need to have a valid driver's license. Experience with customer service and knowledge of golf etiquette is required for this role.
Must be available to work weekdays and weekends through mid-October.
Golf Course Team Benefits
  • Golfing privileges at Sugarloaf Golf Club, a Top 5 Course in the State of Maine
  • An outdoor work environment in an unparalleled mountainous setting with incredible scenery
  • Working daily alongside a friendly, experienced, and supportive crew
