Job description

The Golf Cart Attendant supports the Golf Shop Manager and the Assistant Golf Shop Sales & Marketing Manager by helping with outside golf operations. This includes greeting customers, assigning carts, keeping carts clean, and assisting with tournaments. Essential duties include the following.

  • Greets all customers in a warm, friendly, and professional manner in accordance with all facility policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for the daily operations of range ball recovery utilizing both mechanical and hand machinery and equipment.
  • Responsible for the collection of, organization of, and cleanliness of all range baskets used for ball transportation according to policies and procedures established by management.
  • Responsible for washing the range balls to maintain cleanliness and usability.
  • Responsible for cart cleanliness, cart supplies, cart condition, and fueling. As well as the rotation of golf carts to ensure uniform usage amongst the fleet.
  • Responsible for keeping the outside area open, neat, and clean, including arranging carts neatly to avoid clogging the passages.
  • Follows procedures for proper opening and closing of the cart barn and range operations.
  • Inspects the condition of golf carts and all accessories (including but not limited to coolers and sand bottles) with specific attention to their cleanliness and appearance.
  • Assists golf shop personnel in the tournament setup of golf carts and range operations.
  • Assists with keeping all working areas neat and clean, free of trash and waste.
  • Assists in enforcing all course rules and regulations.
  • Refers all problems, issues, and complaints to the manager and/or assistant manager.
  • Tracks and reports on the need for supplies necessary for day-to-day operations for his or her given areas.
  • Ensures all water coolers are clean and full throughout the day.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
