Job description

Position Overview

TPC Boston, part of the PGA TOUR TPC Network, is seeking a Kitchen Supervisor to manage culinary operations for the golf course, banquet, and special events. The role focuses on menu creation, staff leadership, inventory management, and quality control to ensure member and guest satisfaction.

Responsibilities
  • Assist the Chef management team with menu creation for a la carte and banquet menus.
  • Develop daily specials and creative theme decorations for banquets and buffets.
  • Prepare and produce all menu items according to standard recipes and plating specifications.
  • Recruit, hire, train, schedule, and conduct performance reviews of kitchen staff.
  • Supervise cooks and ware washers to maintain sanitation and safety standards.
  • Operate mixers, meat slicers, and other kitchen equipment.
  • Implement and maintain purchasing procedures, ensuring proper inventory levels.
  • Handle special requests, resolve complaints professionally and efficiently.
  • Utilize ChefTec for food inventory and production management.
  • Assist in internal controls, conduct monthly inventories, and support marketing and promotional programs.
  • Act as kitchen supervisor during all meal periods, including banquets, in the absence of the Executive Chef.
  • Coordinate with service staff to improve speed and consistency of food pick‑up.
  • Participate in pre‑meal meetings to maintain communication with Front of House staff.
  • Assist in achieving food & beverage sales, expenses, and profit goals per the operating plan and budget.
  • Operate within all established guidelines, policies, and constraints set by PGA TOUR Golf Course Properties.
  • Perform special projects or other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Culinary degree or equivalent training.
  • Thorough knowledge of culinary concepts, practices, and procedures.
  • At least three years of culinary experience in progressively responsible positions.
  • Preferred supervisory experience.

Physical Demands

Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, kneel, and use hands to handle or feel. Must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Requires close, depth, color, distance, and peripheral vision, as well as the ability to adjust focus. Must comply with all applicable federal, state, and local safety and health regulations.

Work Schedule

This position requires shifts as necessary based on business levels.

Travel is not expected for this position.

Supervisory Responsibility

This position manages employees and is responsible for performance management and hiring within the department.
