Franklin Canyon Golf Course, located among gently rolling hillsides, mature oaks, and majestic gum trees just north of San Francisco in Hercules, California, provides an outstanding test for golfers of all skill levels. The 6,594-yard championship course designed by legendary golf course architect Robert Muir Graves features many fun and challenging holes highlighted by two ponds, several tight doglegs, and large undulating greens that encourage precise tee shots to keep your score low and test your golf skills. Each hole at Franklin Canyon Golf Course is truly unique and refreshing. At Franklin Canyon Golf Course, we exceed our guests' expectations through our attention to detail, outstanding course and clubhouse conditions, and professional service.
Position Summary:
The Golf Cart / Range Attendant at Franklin Canyon Golf Course provides friendly, customer-focused service while supporting daily course operations. This role is essential to the overall golfer experience, assisting with golf cart distribution and collection, maintaining the driving range and practice areas, and ensuring carts and equipment are clean, safe, and ready for use. Responsibilities also include helping with course setup, stocking range balls, assisting with tournaments and special events, and completing other tasks as assigned by management. Attendants are expected to maintain a professional and welcoming presence at all times.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Bring carts from cart shelter to cart staging area. Ensure that carts are clean, operating properly and are properly equipped with towels, pencils, score cards, tees, sand/seed mix bottles, ice water, etc. Report any repair problems to the supervisor and mechanic.
  • Ensure that carts are available for player use at all times, windshields are clean and seats are dry.
  • Return golf cars to the cart storage area. Remove towels, pencils, score cards, tees, trash, etc., from carts and save reusable items. Wash cart with pressure cleaner, park cart and connect charger cable.
  • Perform practice range duties including transporting range balls to each end of range and filling appropriate containers, cleaning and maintaining the tee area, removing trash from receptacles, operating the ball picker on the range, washing range balls, etc.
  • Perform other duties as appropriate

Physical Demands:
  • Stand, walk, and move throughout the course and range areas for extended periods
  • Lift, push, and transport golf carts and equipment weighing up to 50 lbs
  • Load and unload range balls and supplies
  • Work outdoors in all weather conditions (sun, wind, rain, cold)
  • Operate golf carts and course equipment safely

Qualifications:
  • Valid driver's license required
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Capable of lifting, pushing, and transporting golf carts and equipment as needed
  • Ability to operate golf carts safely and follow course procedures
  • Flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and early mornings
  • Positive attitude and willingness to assist guests and team members
