SUMMARY
Conduct day to day exceptional service to the outside and inside operations of Grand National Golf Course.
MEETING PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS

ESSENTIAL DUTIES OF THE POSITION:
  • Responsible for the reception, retail, and Guest restroom area of the clubhouse.
  • Assist Guests with the reservations and check-in process in a courteous and polite manner.
  • Accurately book, change, and cancel tee times.
  • Assist Guests with payment of services and retail in an efficient and timely manner.
  • Maintain a fully stocked retail inventory to ensure a high level of Guest service is achieved.
  • Works with the other departments to ensure a high level of Guest service.
  • Provide accurate and detailed descriptions of golf packages, services, facility features, casino information and hours of operation.
  • Prepares shift cash report, balancing payments, and disbursements with computer total, preparing the drop envelope for shift end, and balancing of accounts.
  • Responsible for reporting any problems or issues between individuals or groups of individuals to the Golf Lead.
  • Responsible for picking up banks and making deposits, keys for the clubhouse and other buildings, signing keys in and out and maintain Key Log, access to codes for security system and security alarm, opening and full lock up of the clubhouse.
  • Maintain a clean, sanitary, safe, fully stocked, and well-organized beverage cart in full accordance with state health and safety regulations.
  • Responsible for ensuring all delays are rectified and scheduled tee times are on track.
  • Responsible for staging, washing, and stocking all Grand National Golf carts for Guest use.
  • Responsible for driving range operations, which includes stocking of range ball buckets, washing balls, setting up and taking down of range and overall cleanliness of the area.
  • Responsible for meeting and greeting Guests and monitoring play in accordance with standard playtime allowances.
  • Communicate to management all occurrences, problems or issues involving staff or Guests in the clubhouse or golf course that require attention.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
  • One (1) year experience in hospitality or golf preferred.

SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Must possess excellent Guest service and communication skills.
  • Must be able to secure license from Gaming Regulatory Authority.
  • Responsible for following all relevant Detailed Gaming Regulations (DGR's).
  • Mille Lacs Band Member and American Indian preference will be exercised in the hiring process.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
  • Must be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, percentages, common fractions, and decimals, and work with mathematical concepts such as statistical inference.

REASONING ABILITY:
  • Must be able to apply common sense understanding to a variety of situations, to collect data, analyze facts, and determine appropriate response.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
  • Talk and hear; ability to communicate effectively.
  • See and adjust focus to include close, distance, depth, and peripheral vision.
  • Stand, walk, run, sit, (up to 8 hours) balance, stoop, kneel, climb, crouch, and/or crawl.
  • Handle objects, tools, and controls; reach with arms and hands.
  • Be able to lift and carry objects up to twenty-five (25) lbs.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly exposed to:
  • A low-to-moderate noise level (offices).
  • A moderate-to-loud noise level (public areas).
