Gold Mines Operator Jobs (NOW HIRING)

Position Description:

Our people division is growing, and we are looking for a Hoist Operator at our Carlin  operations. The successful candidate will provide a high level of safe skillful hoist operations for the 3 different hoists at TRJV. The successful candidate will also ensure that equipment, materials, and people are transported in and out of the mine in accordance with all regulations and assure that safety and environmental policies are met. Employees must also follow company policies and procedures. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
Proven strong safety ad work attendance record required
Experience interacting and communicating effectively with a variety of individuals and departments required
Six (6) months experience operating Mine Hoists of similar design and function required
Experience working rotating shifts moving between days and nights preferred
Ability to communicate under any situation and give and receive instructions required
Ability to work with everyone and develop a positive relationship with all employees required
Operating knowledge of hoisting equipment and mine shaft conveyance structures required
Two (2) years of Hoist operations experience in a mining environment preferred
Several years experience in housing equipment maintenance preferred
Comprehend hydraulic schematics, service manuals, parts books, and filter cross-reference books preferred

About Nevada Gold Mines
Nevada Gold Mines is a joint venture between Barrick Gold Corporation (61.5%) and Newmont Goldcorp Corporation (38.5%), combining their significant assets across Nevada to create the single largest gold-producing complex in the world and realize the full potential of these mines through synergies and best-in-class operational improvements.

The massive mining operation comprises 8 mines along with their associated infrastructure and processing facilities that produced an estimated 4 million ounces of gold in 2018.
