What is a go go dancer?

A Go Go Dancer is a performer who dances at nightclubs, bars, festivals, or other entertainment venues to enhance the atmosphere and engage the audience. They typically dance on elevated platforms or stages, wearing stylish or themed outfits. Unlike strippers, Go Go Dancers do not remove their clothing; their focus is on energetic and entertaining dance performances. The job requires confidence, rhythm, and the ability to interact with a crowd while maintaining high energy throughout a performance.

How to get a job as a go-go dancer?

To get a job as a go-go dancer, build a portfolio of dance skills and experience, often by performing at local clubs or events. Look for job openings at nightclubs, bars, or event venues, and be prepared to audition or demonstrate your dancing ability. Maintaining a professional appearance and understanding venue policies can also improve your chances of employment.

How much do go-go dancers get paid?

Go-go dancers typically earn between $15 and $50 per hour, with some earning higher tips or performance-based pay. Pay rates vary depending on the venue, location, experience, and whether tips are included, and many dancers supplement income through tips from patrons.

Are go-go dancers still a thing?

Yes, go-go dancers are still employed in nightlife and entertainment venues such as clubs, concerts, and festivals. They often perform on stage or in designated areas, using dance skills and energetic routines to entertain audiences. The role may require physical fitness, dance experience, and adherence to venue safety standards.

What does a typical shift look like for a go go dancer and how is scheduling usually arranged?

Go Go Dancers typically work during evenings or weekends, especially at nightclubs, festivals, private events, or live performances. Shifts usually last several hours and consist of sets of high-energy dance routines with scheduled breaks for rest and hydration. Schedules can vary based on event bookings and may involve working with a team of dancers, DJs, and event coordinators to ensure routines complement the overall show or atmosphere. Flexibility is important, as last-minute changes or additional events can occur. Being adaptable and communicative helps dancers maintain a professional reputation and access more opportunities.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a go go dancer, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Go Go Dancer, you need strong dance skills, physical stamina, rhythm, and stage presence, often developed through dance classes or prior performance experience. While formal certifications are not typically required, familiarity with sound and lighting equipment and the ability to perform with props or costumes may be beneficial. Confidence, adaptability, teamwork, and reliable professionalism are crucial soft skills that help dancers stand out. These qualities ensure engaging performances, smooth collaborations with event staff, and positive guest experiences in high-energy entertainment environments.

Job description

Roll out the Red Carpet – Inspire Hospice and Palliative Care is Hiring!

Step right up! Are you an RN who's spent more time with patients than with Netflix? Does your heart do backflips at the idea of being there for someone through their end-of-life journey? Then you might be exactly who we’re looking for. We’re scouting for an RN Case Manager extraordinaire to join our A-list team at Inspire Hospice and Palliative Care.

Why Inspire?

But don’t just take our word for it! We’ve won a golden trophy for Best Place to Work from Modern Healthcare, built a raving fan club of families we’ve had the pleasure to serve, and earned top-tier reviews for employee satisfaction, happiness, and purpose.

Perks? We've Got 'Em

  • A competitive salary that’ll make you do a happy dance

  • A generous PTO package

  • 7 paid holidays, 1 floating holiday, and a PTO day to use during your birthday month (cake’s on us!)

  • $75 monthly self-care stipend—finally get that mani-pedi or massage

  • Health, dental, and vision insurance

  • A 401(k) plan with employer match

We’re Looking For

A compassionate, dedicated RN Case Manager who makes patients feel at home—whether they’re in their own home, an assisted living facility, or a skilled nursing home. If you’re a hospice or home health Jedi with a valid GA RN license, driver’s license, and at least one year of experience, we want to meet you.

Your Role, Should You Choose to Accept It

  • Be a steady source of comfort and support to patients and families

  • Help families understand disease progression, self-care, and nutrition

  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary hospice team to create and follow patient care plans

  • Manage symptoms like a boss and advocate for patient comfort

  • Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation
