Job description

AIRCRAFT MAINTENANCE ENGINEER

LOCATION: Calgary, Alberta, Canada

AircraftWorks Ltd is a Calgary based AMO part of the Take Flight Group of companies primarily supporting the maintenance needs of Air Partners Corp. We maintain a fleet of corporate jets that require a high level of technical skill. The ideal candidate will have previous corporate aircraft experience, be able to mentor less experienced staff, provide in depth troubleshooting guidance and assist with projects such as MEL development and SMS investigation.

AME/ACA DUTIES AND EXPECTATIONS:

  • Use your experience and knowledge to inspect, efficiently troubleshoot, and repair our aircraft in in the most cost-effective manner possible, 
  • Use your experience to ensure defects are fixed right the first time,
  • Occasionally travel to support short term AOG maintenance needs,
  • Embrace company policy and procedure in every task,
  • Proactively identify risk and take mitigating action to eliminate maintenance induced damage,
  • Provide our customers legendary service by recognizing and acting on opportunities to meet their needs,
  • Model safe behaviors by assessing and mitigating risk wherever possible,
  •  As an ACA holder, supervise and certify work of others, provide coaching to apprentices,
  • Work closely within the maintenance group to achieve daily and long-term goals,
  • Assist our Operational Support Team with towing aircraft and wing-walking, and
  • Uphold a world class standard that represents the AircraftWorks brand.

OUR MUST HAVES:

  • Valid TCCA M2 licence with 5+ years' experience on corporate aircraft,
  • Excellent trouble shooting skills,
  • Valid driver’s licence,
  • Ability to hold a restricted area pass (RAIC),
  • Valid passport, ability to travel worldwide,
  • Right to work in Canada,
  • Type endorsement on one or more of the aircraft listed on our AMO would be an asset,
  • A desire to learn and be the best,
  • A desire to work on corporate aircraft where attention to detail is not just a goal, but a minimum standard, and
