Join the Honor GMC Team
Honor GMC is looking for a dependable, hardworking Automotive Detailer to join our team in National City. This position is responsible for ensuring our new, used, and customer vehicles are cleaned and presented to dealership standards.
We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, pays attention to the details, and understands that the condition and presentation of a vehicle are an important part of the customer experience.
Responsibilities
  • Wash, dry, vacuum, and detail new and used vehicles
  • Wash and dry service vehicles
  • Clean vehicle interiors, including carpets, seats, dashboards, windows, and other surfaces
  • Perform exterior detailing, including washing, waxing, polishing, and buffing as needed
  • Prepare new and used vehicles for delivery to customers
  • Detail vehicles for the sales and service departments
  • Remove stickers, residue, stains, debris, and other materials as necessary
  • Inspect completed vehicles to ensure they meet dealership cleanliness and presentation standards
  • Safely operate dealership and customer vehicles
  • Maintain detailing equipment, supplies, and work areas in a clean and organized condition
  • Promptly report vehicle damage or other concerns to management
  • Follow dealership safety procedures and properly use cleaning chemicals and equipment
  • Assist with lot and vehicle preparation as needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management
Qualifications
  • Automotive detailing or dealership experience preferred, but we are willing to consider candidates with a strong work ethic and willingness to learn
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Dependable attendance and punctuality
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced dealership environment
  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently
  • Ability to safely operate both automatic and manual equipment used in vehicle detailing
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record required
  • Ability to safely drive and maneuver vehicles on dealership property
  • Ability to perform the physical requirements of the position, including standing, walking, bending, reaching, kneeling, and working around vehicles for extended periods
  • Ability to work outdoors and in varying weather conditions as required
