Job description

The Global Technology (GT) organization at JPMorganChase is a world-class technology team of 65,000+ technologists across 20+ technology hubs worldwide with $20B+ in annual technology investment. GT develops high-quality technology products and solutions for JPMC's millions of clients and customers, and 320,000+ employees-everything from employee and infrastructure platforms to big data and mobile solutions, innovations in agentic / generative AI, electronic payments, cybersecurity, machine learning, cloud development, and more.
The Global Technology Strategy (GTS) team is an internal management consulting team that works closely with GT Leadership-the Firm's CIOs, CISO, CTO, and other senior technology leaders-to drive technology strategy, enable innovation, and solve the biggest technology problems across the firm. We work on several types of strategy projects, including problem sizing/solutioning, process reimagination, operating model and organizational design, firmwide transformation, and more, to help JPMC define how technology should be utilized to enable the firm's overall business strategy, including in areas such as AI/agentic, data strategy, technology infrastructure, line of business technology, product development lifecycle etc.
As an Analyst on the Global Technology Strategy team, you will utilize the strategy consulting toolkit-problem framing, critical thinking, analysis and synthesis, executive communication/narrative, stakeholder management, and more-to play a crucial role in defining and deconstructing technology problems for the organization. When someone joins the Global Technology Strategy team, they accelerate their career by working on high-impact and complex problems, learning and applying industry-leading technology practices, and becoming part of a highly collaborative team that prioritizes professional development and ownership.
Job Responsibilities
  • Support projects to resolve complex, cross-cutting, executive-level problems faced by the GT organization
  • Structure ambiguous, open-ended problems into clear questions and hypotheses
  • Conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis of market, competitive, and technology trends to inform the firm's strategic positioning
  • Provide recommendations to align technology with business goals and risk tolerance
  • Partner with technology and business stakeholders to determine if recommendations are technically grounded and feasible
  • Turn analysis into clear, persuasive narratives that provides the audience with the "so what" instead of just the data
  • Build executive-grade deliverables that resonate with both technical and non-technical senior audiences
  • Support the evaluation and adoption of emerging technologies, with a particular focus on AI and agentic systems, including their governance, risk, and operating model implications in a regulated environment

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • 2+ years of strategy/diverse problem-solving experience (e.g., with a top management consulting firm or in other generalist problem-solving environments across technology sectors)
  • Undergraduate degree
  • Ability to communicate effectively and confidently (both oral and written) across various subject areas and levels of the organization
  • Experience with cross-functional collaboration (e.g., influencing stakeholders, working with diverse teams) across all levels of the organization including senior executives
  • Ability to work in a team environment and independently
  • Excellent and efficient skills using MS Excel and PowerPoint tools

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • Working knowledge/hands on experience leveraging various AI tools and agentic systems (e.g., Claude, ChatGPT, MSFT CoPilot)
  • Knowledge of enterprise technologies and trends; ability to learn quickly as the technology landscape continues to rapidly evolve
