Position

Global Medical Affairs Leader (GMAL), Autoantibody โ€“ Director level Individual Contributor.Location: Horsham, Pennsylvania, United States of America.Schedule: Hybrid โ€“ three days in the office and two days remotely per week.

Responsibilities
  • Develop medical affairs strategy and plans for the compound (nipocalimab) based on prioritized regional needs and aligned with global medical objectives.
  • Collaborate closely with regional medical affairs to ensure plans, progress and decisions are communicated openly and timely.
  • Lead internal training strategy to assure continuous education of global and regional market access and medical affairs teams.
  • Oversee global publications planning process, including manuscripts, abstracts, posters, and papers as well as preโ€‘launch global KOL communications and speaker development.
  • Review manuscripts, presentations and posters to ensure alignment with strategy and effectiveness in communication.
  • Ensure all global activities follow Johnson & Johnson compliance principles (e.g., Health Care Compliance).
  • Coordinate preโ€‘ and postโ€‘launch medical activities, medical symposia and congresses in partnership with the regions.
  • Develop and approve medical education material for external use (e.g., HCP education).
  • Manage opinion leader relations, product/therapeutic area global advisory boards and new product medical information core responses.
  • Participate as a member of product Safety Management Team(s) (SMT), Compound Development Team(s) (CDT), and Global Commercial Team(s) (GCT).
  • Provide medical input into market research and health outcomes research conducted by commercial and market access teams.
Qualifications / Requirements
  • Advanced scientific/medical degree (MD, PhD, PharmD) โ€“ required.
  • Minimum of 8 years of combined relevant experience in a medical/clinical environment and/or scientific function in the pharmaceutical industry โ€“ required.
  • Medical Affairs experience โ€“ required.
  • Prior global medical affairs experience โ€“ highly preferred.
  • Experience in rheumatology, immunology, rare disease โ€“ highly preferred.
  • Launch experience โ€“ highly preferred.
  • Established network with medical experts/opinion leaders in rheumatology, immunology and/or rare disease โ€“ preferred.
  • Ability to work in a matrix environment and understand global complexity โ€“ required.
  • Global mindset and ability to partner crossโ€‘culturally/regionally โ€“ required.
  • Inโ€‘depth knowledge of study/clinical methodology and data review and analysis โ€“ preferred.
  • Track record leading highly matrixed, crossโ€‘functional work teams of senior managers and executives โ€“ required.
  • Strong experience developing and managing strategic relationships with medical experts/opinion leaders โ€“ required.
  • Excellent knowledge of study execution, benefitโ€‘risk management and lifeโ€‘cycle management โ€“ preferred.
  • Innovative ability to drive a complex and changing environment and resolve issues โ€“ required.
  • Proven ethical decisionโ€‘making โ€“ required.
  • Minimum of 25% domestic and international travel โ€“ required.
