Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Global Packaging Engineer - Lithography to lead packaging engineering initiatives across our global manufacturing network while serving as the Packaging Engineering lead for our Marlborough site. This role is responsible for developing, qualifying, implementing, and continuously improving packaging systems that support product quality, transportation safety, regulatory compliance, supply continuity, and operational excellence across our Lithography and Advanced Circuit Packaging (ACP) businesses. This is a 100% onsite position located in our Marlborough MA facility. Please note: Sponsorship is not available for this opportunity now or in the future.

What You Will Do
  • Serve as the Global Packaging Engineering Subject Matter Expert (SME) supporting manufacturing operations in Marlborough, Japan, Korea, and future global locations.
  • Develop and maintain packaging standards, specifications, and best practices across global manufacturing sites.
  • Lead the design, qualification, implementation, and improvement of industrial packaging systems, including bottles, drums, IBCs, PE bags, corrugated packaging, pallets, and bulk packaging.
  • Support new product introductions, manufacturing transfers, packaging changes, and capacity expansion projects.
  • Provide packaging engineering support for manufacturing operations, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure packaging systems meet requirements for product protection, chemical compatibility, transportation performance, safety, and cost effectiveness.
  • Lead transportation packaging compliance activities, including hazardous materials and global regulatory requirements.
  • Partner with Quality, Procurement, Supply Chain, Logistics, Regulatory Affairs, and manufacturing teams to deliver robust packaging solutions.
  • Qualify packaging suppliers, support supplier audits, and drive supplier performance improvements.
  • Lead root cause investigations, corrective actions, and continuous improvement efforts related to packaging performance, quality, and reliability.
What We Are Looking ForRequired Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Packaging Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
  • 5+ years of packaging engineering experience in chemical, semiconductor, specialty materials, pharmaceutical, or similar manufacturing environments.
  • Experience designing and implementing industrial packaging systems.
  • Knowledge of chemical compatibility, hazardous materials packaging, and packaging validation.
  • Experience leading cross-functional projects and working directly with suppliers.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting global manufacturing organizations.
  • Knowledge of transportation regulations including UN, DOT, IATA, IMDG, and ADR requirements.
  • Experience with hazardous materials packaging and transportation compliance.
  • Experience developing engineering standards, technical specifications, and packaging best practices.
  • Background in packaging sustainability and cost optimization initiatives.
