This role will be tasked specifically with enhancing and supporting existing LP relationships and will play a pivotal role in capital raising and client service as they sit at the intersection of marketing and investment management. The Head of Investor Relations will oversee all regular client communications and deliverables, with a particular focus on continuing to build-out world class client service infrastructure and systems to scale the Firm's operations.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to think commercially and strategically while also being hands-on (and in the weeds) in the creation and maintenance of marketing and client service materials. This role will also work very closely with other members of the marketing and IR team. This role will report directly to the Global Head of Marketing and Business Development for SummitTX.
Location: Fort Worth, TX (Hybrid) or New York, NY (Hybrid)
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Collaborate with marketing team to consistently and regularly improve and uplift pitch books, client reports, RFPs, DDQs, and other client-facing materials
  2. Product Advocacy and Specialization: Become the subject matter expert on SummitTX's multi-manager platform, articulating the investment philosophy, process, and performance to both internal and external stakeholders
  3. Market Intelligence: Monitor industry trends, competitor products, and market demand to help position SummitTX's multi-manager platform successfully relative to peers
  4. Content Creation: Work with internal stakeholders (e.g., Investment Team, Risk Team) to help develop insightful content, including whitepapers and performance commentary, highlighting the Firm's expertise
  5. Client Interaction: Interact with SummitTX clients and prospects addressing product-related inquiries and requests, as well questions on the Fund structure
  6. Feedback Loop: Act as a conduit between clients/prospects and the leadership team, providing consistent feedback from clients to Co-CIOs, Global Head of Marketing, and the broader Investment Team
  7. Later-Stage Prospect Nurturing: Manage and support investment diligence from prospects following initial calls, providing data, as well as oversight of associated strategic initiatives, such as side letters and ad-hoc investment agreements
  8. Strategic Projects: Improve the Investor Relations platform to be world-class, consistently uplifting reports from the CRM, data with the Investment Team, and leveraging in-house technology to uplift processes
  9. Operational Due Diligence: Own and run the operational due diligence (ODD) process for prospective and existing LPs, including responding to ODD questionnaires and coordinating site visits
  10. Compliance and Regulatory Matters: Partner closely with Legal and Compliance on client-related matters, including the drafting, negotiation, and tracking of side letters, and coordination of regulatory reporting obligations to investors

Qualifications:
  1. Bachelor's degree required; MBA, CFA, or other relevant advanced degree preferred.
  2. Minimum of 8 years of experience in financial markets, with a background in alternative investments, consulting, or allocating for an LP
  3. Understanding of the capital raising process and the elements that are needed at each phase to be successful
  4. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  5. Exceptional appreciation for the importance of detail
  6. Proficient in Microsoft office products, specifically Powerpoint and Excel
  7. Team player with the ability to collaborate with multiple departments and stakeholders
  8. A desire to grow in their careers via a strong work ethic and willingness to compete every day

Compensation:
