Job description

Our commercial entity is currently seeking qualified Installers / Glaziers to install and repair glass in new and old residential buildings. The Glazier works with large sheets of glass, window panes, and shower panels. You must be able to stand for long periods of time, so excellent physical condition is mandatory. You should have the ability to lift and carry heavy materials, such as glass and other construction materials, as well as know how to operate basic tools such as wrenches, drills, grinders and hand tools.

This position must have prior experience of frameless shower installation and the ability to take shower templates. This position must have prior experience with measuring and installing residential window panes.

Must have valid drivers license and clean driving record. Installer will be provided with a vehicle and all necessary tools.

Pay determined based on experience.

Business hours are Monday - Friday from 8 to 5pm. No nights, No weekends, No emergency calls. Installers return to shop for lunch majority of days. This is a full time position for 40 hours a week. Trucks service mainly Orange Park, Green Cove Springs, and Jacksonville south area. Occasional trips to St. Augustine or North Jacksonville.

Payroll runs every week.

Responsibilities:

  • Install frameless or framed shower enclosures in customers homes.
  • Install and repair windows and glass doors.
  • Cut and fabricate custom glass for customers.
  • Service window balances and patio door rollers.
  • Repair and replace blown or broken glass.
  • Assemble doors and frames, using glue or other binding material (e.g. screws, nails, bolts) to hold pieces together.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $26.00+ per hour

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift x 5 days a week

Experience:

  • Shower Glass installation: 3 years (Required)
  • Residential Window Installation: 3 years (Required)
