Job description

Cardinal CT in Mount Airy has a full time production & manufacturing opening for a Glass Tempering Technician.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Manually Lift up to 50LBS. of raw material, finished products, and/or pack items repetitively in a fast paced production environment.
  • Mark or tag identification on glass products.
  • Inspect glass for visual / and or material defects as well as quality specification tolerances.
  • Observe equipment operations, make minor tool adjustments, or notify operators, leads, or maintenance of any malfunctions.
  • Operate machinery used in the production process, or assist machine operators.
  • Record product information using measuring tapes, record sheets, spreadsheets, & quality software.
  • Understand product & machine workflows to properly load and unload items from machines, conveyors, and conveyances.
  • Follow 5S procedures to maintain an orderly, safe, and clean work environment.
  • Count finished products to determine if product orders are complete.
  • Cross train into a minimum of three areas of production.
  • Communicate pertinent information to co-workers, supervisors, & management.
  • Complete all other tasks as required.
  • Respect for each co-worker.
  • Regular Attendance as outlined in attendance policy.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and use good judgment.

Monday - Friday: 5:30am - 5:30pm
