FT Day Porter-Station Ridge-Hanover, MD
Schedule: Monday to Friday 7:30am - 4:00pm
Hourly rate: $18.00
Job description: PMM Companies is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Day Porter to join our company. and must be able to communicate in English. Janitorial experience is required. Responsible for cleaning buildings, removing debris, and keeping areas neat and tidy. Vacuums and buffs floors, shampoos carpet, empties trash receptacles, and replace lining of trash cans.
Primary responsibilities
• Cleaning outside grounds.
• Sweep and mop floors.
• Clean buildings by emptying trash, sweeping, and cleaning surfaces.
• Monitor building security and safety by performing such tasks as locking doors after operating hours and checking electrical appliance use to ensure that hazards are not created.
• Steam-clean carpets.
• Use cleaning solutions to remove stains and clean surfaces.
• Mix various cleaning agents.
• Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors, using soapy water or other cleaners, sponges, and squeegees.
• Dust furniture and scrub surfaces clean.
• Apply wax to coat floors and buff.
• Apply sealant to floors.
• Clean and service restrooms with mops and disinfectants.
• Light maintenance (i.e. light bulb changes, etc.).
• Responding to tenant/building management requests as needed.

Physical Requirements:
• Ability to lift and carry up to 25 to 50 pound
