Lead Java Microservices Developer (DevOps)
Location: Alpharetta, GA (willing to travel to client locations)
Employment Type: Full-Time (W2)
Role Overview
We are seeking a seasoned Lead Java Microservices Developer with a strong DevOps focus to oversee the design, development, and deployment of microservices-based applications. This leadership role involves guiding teams in building scalable Java solutions while driving CI/CD automation.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the design and development of Java-based microservices using Spring Boot for enterprise-grade applications.
  • Drive the implementation of CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins or GitHub Actions to streamline deployments.
  • Oversee containerized deployments of microservices using Docker and Kubernetes in cloud environments.
  • Mentor and guide development teams on best practices for microservices architecture and DevOps processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery of scalable, resilient systems.
  • Monitor and optimize system performance, security, and reliability through DevOps practices and automation.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3 years of experience in Java development with Spring Boot, focusing on microservices and DevOps integration.
  • Proficiency in designing and implementing microservices architectures with REST APIs and event-driven systems.
  • Strong expertise in CI/CD automation using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar tools.
  • Experience leading technical teams and driving development projects from conception to deployment.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiarity with advanced DevOps tools like Terraform or Ansible for infrastructure-as-code automation.
  • Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) for hosting and scaling microservices applications.
  • Knowledge of monitoring and observability tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana) for production systems.
