AI Solution Architect
The Opportunity:
Design and implement effective AI solution architecture or strategy utilizing approaches of various AI technologies and methods to address clients' business problems and needs while complying with the organization's strategies and business goals and key ethical considerations. Apply advanced consulting skills or extensive technical expertise and full industry knowledge. Develop innovative solutions to complex problems. Work without considerable direction. Mentor and may supervise team members.
You Have:
  • Experience integrating AI capabilities into business processes, workflows, or production software applications
  • Experience with AI-assisted development tooling, including GitHub Copilot, Copilot CLI, Codex, or Claude Code
  • Experience with GitHub Actions for CI/CD, workflow automation, or pipeline orchestration
  • Experience developing in NodeJS, .NET, or SQL
  • Experience designing scaffolding, harnesses, or orchestration layers that allow AI tools to operate reliably within an existing engineering or business environment
  • Knowledge of AI solution architecture patterns, including prompt design, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), tool calling, and agentic workflows
  • Knowledge of secure software development practices, version control, and code review processes in a team setting
  • Ability to translate client business problems into implementable AI solution designs, work without considerable direction, develop innovative solutions to complex problems, and mentor or supervise team members
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements
  • Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of experience in software engineering, AI/ML integration, or solution architecture, or Master's degree and 3+ years of experience in software engineering, AI/ML integration, or solution architecture

  • Experience with Azure AI Foundry, including model deployment, evaluation, agent development, or content safety configuration

  • Experience with consulting or client-facing delivery in a federal or public sector environment
  • Knowledge of Azure cloud services, containerization, and infrastructure-as-code

  • Ability to lead technical workshops and communicate solution trade-offs to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, or a related field

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $99,000.00 to $225,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
