You'll start your day collaborating with engineering, construction, and business teams to evaluate fiber expansion opportunities and support strategic network growth initiatives. Throughout the day, you'll analyze GIS data, review OSP designs, perform feasibility and cost analyses for new markets, and investigate discrepancies between GIS-generated documentation and project deliverables. Your expertise will help guide business decisions and ensure the accuracy and efficiency of fiber network planning efforts.
This is an in-office position. Must be located in or around Columbia, Missouri.
What You'll Do Key responsibilities include:
  • Conduct cost analysis for fiber network expansion markets and growth initiatives.
  • Perform feasibility studies for prospective service areas and new market opportunities.
  • Analyze and resolve discrepancies between GIS-generated documentation and project deliverables.
  • Assess the financial impact of change requests and provide recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Review fiber OSP designs and GIS data to support planning, engineering, and deployment efforts.
  • Prepare reports, findings, and recommendations for leadership and cross-functional teams.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to ensure data accuracy, project alignment, and successful execution.

What We're Looking For To be considered for this role, you'll need the following required qualifications:
  • Minimum of 5 years of Fiber Outside Plant (OSP) experience.
  • Experience with GIS platforms and mapping technologies.
  • Strong understanding of fiber network design, planning, and deployment practices.
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to translate technical information for diverse audiences.
  • Experience conducting cost analysis, feasibility studies, and financial impact assessments.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a fast-paced environment.

  • Experience with ESRI systems, including ArcGIS.
