You will serve as a Professional Affairs Clerk in the Centralized Credentials and Privileging Department of NAVMEDSUP DET JACKSONVILLE FL.
SALARY RANGE:
GS-06: $45,409 - $59,031
GS-07: $50,460 - $65,599

Duties
Help
  • You will present orally and in writing, professional subject matter involving organizational operations, credentialing and privileging principles, and medical/legal operations.
  • You will analyze, verify, adapt and extend procedural guides and regulations to situations encountered in planning and accomplishing the work.
  • You will write reports outlining the processes and procedures used in a study, the condition of the management or program operations and recommend improvements.
  • You will ensure only designated personnel have access to the files and that no material is inserted or removed without approval of the Privileging Authority or their designee's.
  • You will initiate and maintain contact with educational institutions, state licensing agencies, federal regulating agencies etc.

Qualifications
FOR THE GS-07:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
1) Experience utilizing knowledge of laws and regulations, Joint Commission standards, policies &, principles, of the credentialing and privileging program to ensure compliance with organizational requirements;
2) Experience working with knowledge of requirements for medical boards;
3) Experience using knowledge of the verification process of important health care provider files to ensure the accuracy of the documents;
4) Experience possessing thorough knowledge of Centralized Credentials Quality Assurance System (CCQAS) necessary for data entry, file maintenance, granting of privileges/clinical support staff appointments and data retrieval;
5) Experience using knowledge of grammar, spelling, punctuation and organizational correspondence formats.
FOR THE GS-06:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
1) Experience maintaining records and documents, which represent an organization;
2) Experience answering questions relating to credentialing reviews and privileging processes;
3) Experience updating internal files for the organization;
4) Experience developing detailed procedures and functions to enter and print data in various formats to meet reporting requirements.
