THIS JOB DESCRIPTION DOES NOT ATTEMPT TO LIST ALL OF THE DUTIES THAT ARE OR MAY BE PERFORMED IN THIS POSITIONPrimary Duties1.Maintains and updates system facility records, maps, sketches and working designs in a GIS and/or Computer Aided Design (CAD) software. 2.Updates existing maps and computerized drawings and databases to reflect additions, removals and other changes to land bases and company owned pipeline facilities.3.Prepares maps, graphics, charts, and other visual aids used to facilitate communications.4.Maintains library of maps and related databases including computerized maps obtained from various sources.5.Establishes, organizes and maintains detailed records and files using various computer programs. 6.May assist with training, direction, and quality control of others engaged in similar activities. May oversee project activities. 7.May assist with the development of GIS applications, processes, and procedures. 8.Assists Technical Services and Operations in various projects as required. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTSEducation/Experience Level:1. Associates degree in GIS, Computer Drafting or related field.2. Two years of related experience, or equivalent.Communication Skills:Requires the ability to communicate with internal and/or external customers in order to obtain and/or provide explanations and/or information on technical or other complex concepts to individuals with or without experience or knowledge of the technical area.Numeric Skills:Requires the ability to perform algebraic, trigonometric and geometric operations and/or moderately complex statistical and/or accounting methods.Computer Skills:Requires knowledge of various software applications including computer drafting in order to utilize advanced operations to create complex documents, reports, graphics, daily updates and maintenance of system facility maps and special mapping projects.Work Conditions:Works in an indoor environment. May on occasion work in an outdoor environment for field site visits.Requires frequently performing activities including, but not limited to sitting, repetitive wrist movement and/or shifting gaze from data to PC screen.Requires occasionally performing activities including, but not limited to, bending, stooping, grasping, reaching, twisting, turning and/or lifting.Atmos Energy Corporation is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
