Job description

At Gigamon, our purpose is to protect the hybrid networks and data of the largest, most complex organizations on the planet. Certified as a Great Place to Work, we offer a deep observability pipeline that efficiently delivers network-derived intelligence to cloud, security, and observability tools. This helps our customers to eliminate security blind spots, optimize network traffic, and dramatically reduce tool cost and complexity, enabling them to better secure and manage their hybrid cloud infrastructure. Gigamon has served more than 4,000 customers worldwide, including over 80 percent of Fortune 100 enterprises, 9 of the 10 largest mobile network providers, and hundreds of governments and educational organizations.

In this role, you will own the strategy, development, and execution of Gigamon's Customer Marketing and Advocacy program. You will design scalable, company-wide processes to identify, nurture, and showcase customer advocates, ensuring their success stories are embedded across our go-to-market motions. Partnering closely with executive leadership and cross-functional teams in sales, marketing, product, and customer success, you will deepen customer engagement and bring their voice into every stage of the customer lifecycle. Your work will directly influence revenue, brand perception, and product adoption by amplifying proof of value from our most strategic customers.

What you'll do
  • Lead the development, strategic direction, and day-to-day management of Gigamon's Customer Marketing and Advocacy program.

  • Create and manage foundational, repeatable processes that tap into customer engagement across the company to identify, nurture, and recruit customer advocates.

  • Design and run advocacy programs such as online reference programs, executive and advisory councils, local user groups, and other initiatives that build a community of vocal customer champions.

  • Manage a mix of strategic and tactical initiatives that benefit from customer involvement, ensuring customer proof and stories are leveraged across press, analysts, events, collateral/success stories, and private sales references.

  • Partner with sales, channel sales, support, services, and marketing teams to identify successful customers and develop them into public references who can tell compelling stories about their outcomes with Gigamon.

  • Assess the need for, and lead the development of, a customer reference database (likely integrated with Salesforce), including building the business case and investment proposal.

  • Coach and mentor sales, marketing, and product teams on how to nurture customers into advocates and provide enablement materials that deliver tangible value to customers.

  • Help internal team members build and maintain strong relationships with key reference contacts at all organizational levels, taking the lead when appropriate.

  • Build long-term, trust-based partnerships with strategic reference customers and ensure their experiences are reflected in our go-to-market activities.

  • Drive a holistic approach to customer success and advocacy by aligning with broader customer programs, including onboarding, advisory and executive councils, and the customer community.

  • Prioritize customer reference and advocacy efforts based on strategic importance and potential business impact for Gigamon.

  • Consider and, as needed, implement broader customer survey and feedback mechanisms, synthesize results and trends, and facilitate organizational responses to evolving customer needs.

  • Support sales teams by participating in customer meetings and reference calls when needed to help advance strategic opportunities.

What you've done
  • Earned a bachelor's degree in marketing, business, communications, or a related field.

  • Built 7-10 years of enterprise marketing experience, with strong preference for SaaS and B2B; customer marketing experience is required.

  • Applied a data-driven marketing approach, including hands-on familiarity with Salesforce (SFDC), and effectively translated software capabilities and content into clear business benefits.

  • Developed customer messaging and transformed qualitative and quantitative insights into compelling customer stories and reference assets.

  • Created and executed marketing campaigns and programs that drove measurable customer engagement, advocacy, and reference activity.

  • Collaborated effectively with cross-functional internal teams and external customers to deliver impactful go-to-market outcomes.

  • Engaged senior customer executives through professional, persuasive written and verbal communications.

  • Worked with regional or global marketing teams in a matrixed environment, demonstrating a global mindset and ability to localize or scale programs.

  • Used Marketo and Salesforce in support of marketing campaigns and customer programs; experience with account-based marketing (ABM) is a plus.

Who you are
  • A strategic and execution-focused marketer who can define a vision, operationalize it, and deliver against clear timelines, milestones, and metrics.

  • A relationship builder who earns trust with customers and internal stakeholders, and is comfortable engaging directly with sales teams and senior customer leaders.

  • A strong collaborator who excels at partnering across functions and regions, bringing diverse teams together to act on behalf of customers.

  • An influential leader who drives outcomes through partnership rather than authority, navigating a complex, global, cross-functional environment.

  • A customer-obsessed professional with a strong business orientation, motivated by amplifying customer success and turning it into powerful proof for the market.

The base salary compensation range targeted for this role is expected to be between $236,000 - $295,000 (subject to terms and conditions of the plan). This salary range is an estimate, and the actual salary may vary based on the Company's compensation practices.
