Contributeto the profitability of the Kohler Retail Shops in such a way as to reflect thehigh standards of the store, the Hospitality and Real Estate Division, andKohler Co. as a whole. Demonstrate an understanding of and adherence to theHospitality and Real Estate's Mission and Values in order to maintain thestatus of this 5-star property. Contribute to the overall enjoyment of theguests' shopping experience. Follow policies and procedures as established for theKohler Retail Shops. Assist leadership by improving the effectiveness andefficiency of the retail business. As part of a large resort, the associate willbe required to work weekends and holidays and may also need to fill in at otherKohler Retail Shops as needed.
This position involves physical activities.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsiblefor effectively assisting the guest from the beginning to the end of theirshopping experience. Work with other shops and other departments to facilitatesmooth functioning of all Kohler Retail Shops. Complete projects as directed bymanagement.
- Sales and Shopping Experience: Greet guests, determine needs, share product knowledge, add-on to sales, assist multiple guests, take customer special orders, etc.
- Knowledgeable in the basics of the ResortSuite point of sale software system.
- Cashiering and finalizing the Sale: opening and closing of the register, ringing sales (cash, credit card, gift card, room charges etc), processing discounts, markdowns, end-of-day reports and gift wrapping.
- Capable of selling and completing the purchase of a Gift Card.
- Be knowledgeable about and able to promote the Kohler Wisconsin Resort and the Village of Kohler: van service, directions, restaurants and menus, hours of operation etc.
- Maintain records of promos and damages incurred during shift.
- Participate in and prep for annual Inventory.
- Assist in maintaining the Shop appearance: Restocking of merchandise, cleaning (may include garbage removal), dusting, vacuuming, glass and window cleaning, sweeping etc.
- Assist in the maintenance of shop displays as directed by the Sr. Retail Coordinator.
- Assist in the training/mentoring of all Sales Associate I new hires.
- Assist in creating in-store events and promos.
- Be knowledgeable in basic Dataworks inventory system.
- Meet or exceed sales targets independently.
- Complete other tasks assigned within job scope.
This is a full-time, seasonal position working weekdays and weekends with shifts varying between 9:00 am and 6:30 pm.
