Job description

Job Summary: This position serves under the direction of the Associate Vice President for University Advancement to steward constituent gifts and records, which supports every aspect of the university's development team. Primary duties include gift processing, constituent record management, donor information input, production of acknowledgement letters, and report generation. The ideal candidate will be someone who enjoys detail-oriented work and thrives in a busy, team-minded office.
Essential Functions
  • Coordinates and prioritizes daily gift processing activities and ensures accurate handling of checks, credit cards, payroll deductions, gifts-in-kind, stock, and electronic transfer of funds.
  • Maintains data integrity and confidentiality of all gifts and other data in the development information system.
  • Produces gift receipts and individualized acknowledgement letters.
  • Records and maintains donor pledge information.
  • Provides various reports pertaining to gifts and other data from the development information system.
  • Assists with handling telephone calls and emails, as well as providing customer service to constituents.
  • Contributes to special events such as Homecoming, fundraising gala, golf tournament, and other duties as assigned

Qualifications
  • Must be personally supportive of the Christian character and mission of the university.
  • Ability to work with great accuracy, attention to detail, and respect for confidential information.
  • Ability to manage simultaneous projects and adhere to deadlines.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as a team member of the larger development operation.
  • Strong computer literacy, specifically with the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Experience with Raiser's Edge or other donor management system preferred.
  • Knowledge of general accounting principles, business communications, spelling, punctuation, and office procedures.
  • College degree or relevant experience is required.
