Job description

Operating Room Scrub Nurse

Any traveler not currently in possession of an active State of HI license must apply upon acceptance of offer. Candidate must have Hawaii License by start of assignment.

General job duties:

  • Help with turn over cleaning
  • Transport patients when needed

Types of procedures required to independently scrub:

  • General
  • Orthopedic
  • Vascular
  • Ophthalmic
  • Urology
  • ENT
  • Endoscopy
  • Robotic
  • Obstetrics
  • Gynecology

Types of Cases:

  • Endoscopy

Minimum experience required:

  • 2 years at minimum of scrubbing cases in a hospital setting

Job Description:

  • Shifts: we currently operate from 0645-2315, your shifts may be variable based on department needs applicants will be scheduled 40 hours a week, possibility of 32 hours if there is a holiday
  • We cover call 24 hours a day 7 days a week, everyone is assigned call, on average 1-2x a week, plus up to 2 weekends a month. 20 minute call back time.
  • Bed size: we have 1-2 outpatient GI labs daily we have 1-2 rooms running simultaneously we are a small, but a very busy and efficient OR
  • Dress code: scrubs are provided
  • Applicant will orient on day shift for up to a week or until manager's discretion
  • Traveler must complete a minimum of 39 shifts during the duration of the contract if RTO (requested time off) is requested.
