Endoscopic Tech (PRN)- GI Lab

Work location: Texas Health Allen, 1105 Central Expwy North TX 75013

Work hours: PRN (Day Shift) - As Needed

GI Lab Department highlights:

Here's What You Need

         High School Diploma or equivalent

         1 Year of GI clinical or hospital experience strongly preferred

         ProVation documentation/reporting system experience preferred

         One of the following certifications preferred:

o   CNA (Certified Nurse Aide)

o   MA (Medical Assistant)

o   EMT (Emergency Medical Technician)

         BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly Req

 

What You Will Do

  • Assists physicians and nurses with GI procedures
  • Sets up endoscopic equipment including specific individualized equipment after assessment of patient.
  • Assists physicians and RNs throughout procedures
  • Handles instrumentation from basic to complex procedures.
  • Takes actions to reduce or eliminate patient risk
