To thrive as a GI Endoscopy Technologist, you need a solid understanding of gastrointestinal anatomy, sterile techniques, and endoscopic procedures, usually supported by a relevant allied health certification or associate degree. Familiarity with endoscopy equipment, reprocessing systems, and patient monitoring devices is essential, and some roles may require certification such as CRCST or SGNA.
