Position Summary

Ghost City Tours' retail location located in the historic French Quarter is hiring a Store Manager to lead day-to-day operations, drive sales performance, and manage a high-traffic retail location in New Orleans.


This role is responsible for:

  • Store revenue performance
  • Sales team leadership and coaching
  • Inventory control and shrink reduction
  • Operational execution and reporting

This is a hands-on management role for someone who can lead from the floor, hold a team accountable, and consistently improve store performance using data and KPIs.


Key Responsibilities

Sales & Revenue Management

  • Drive store sales, conversion rate, and average order value (AOV)
  • Coach team members to actively sell, upsell, and recommend products
  • Monitor performance and adjust in real time to improve results
  • Identify opportunities for bundling, add-ons, and revenue growth

Team Leadership & Staff Management

  • Train, coach, and manage retail sales associates
  • Set clear expectations for customer engagement and sales performance
  • Enforce accountability for attendance, behavior, and results
  • Participate in hiring, onboarding, and performance management

Customer Experience

  • Ensure a high-quality guest experience aligned with hospitality standards
  • Resolve customer issues quickly and professionally
  • Maintain strong in-store energy, organization, and presentation

Store Operations

  • Oversee daily operations: opening/closing, cash handling, reporting

Qualifications

Schedule

This is a full-time, salaried (exempt) leadership role requiring flexible, business-driven availability.

The Store Manager is expected to be present during peak revenue hours, which regularly include:

  • Evenings (high foot traffic + tour departures)
  • Weekends (primary sales volume)
  • Holidays and major New Orleans tourism events

The role oversees a high-volume, guest-facing retail environment, and requires consistent on-site leadership during busy periods, not just administrative coverage.

Our company operates 364 days per year, and this position is responsible for ensuring strong operational execution, team performance, and sales leadership whenever the business is busiest.
