Shift: Full Time but must be available for Weekdays, Weeknights, Weekends, Days, Afternoons, Nights
Job Purpose:
The Lift Maintenance Supervisor is a skilled, passionate, and growth-oriented individual with experience in year-round aerial and surface lift operation and maintenance. Responsibilities include scheduling staff and jobs, tracking parts, managing costs, and prioritizing safety, excellence, efficiency, and premier guest service. This role requires working days, nights, and weekends, with a flexible schedule set for maximum productivity. The Supervisor leads the lift maintenance department, ensuring safe lift operation that meets or exceeds all governing codes, laws, and manufacturer recommendations. They play a critical role in guest safety and satisfaction.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Supervises all aspects of lift maintenance, including hiring, staffing, budget, inventory, training, and safety.
  • Responsibilities cover planning and scheduling maintenance and projects.
  • Collaborates closely with mountain operations, snowmaking, grooming, terrain park, lift operations, and ski patrol to achieve MMR goals.
  • Leads the department safely and efficiently.
  • Creates a safe and fun environment for staff and guests, promoting company policies, procedures, and all applicable laws and codes.
  • Identifies efficiencies and creates necessary business/operational systems.
  • Manages the budget per policy.
  • Conducts staff reviews, training, and mentoring.
  • Understands the department's role and ensures seamless collaboration.
  • Maintains professionalism with coworkers, vendors, and guests.
  • Ensures scheduling coverage during peak times/special events.
  • Guarantees equipment operation and maintenance adhere to all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Prepares and stores required operations and maintenance documentation (e.g., daily, weekly, monthly, annual inspections).
  • Understands and actively models positive morale and professional behavior.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Minimum of 4 year experience
  • Technology/Equipment: Riblet aerial lifts, Stadeli paddle tow, AC and DC motors, VFD, PLC, gasoline and diesel engines, 480VAC, 12 and 24 VDC, hydraulic systems.
  • Supervise mechanics, ensuring safe operational readiness of lifts.
  • Conduct weekly/monthly inspections, basic preventative maintenance, and minor mechanical repairs.
  • Troubleshoot fundamental mechanical issues.
  • Familiarity with lift documentation (manuals, safety bulletins, drawings, parts catalogs) and industry codes is required.
  • Complete maintenance paperwork.
  • Understand basic mechanical concepts (hydraulics, lubrication, power transmission, rotating machinery, basic electricity) and industry practices (rigging, general ropeway maintenance, safety).
  • Operate snow and wheeled vehicles safely.
  • Assist higher-level mechanics with complex work.
  • Immediately report all hazards/injuries.
  • Proficient in Google Workspace (Sheets, Docs, Drive, Gmail).
  • Must be a clear, effective verbal and written communicator, detail-oriented, efficient, and capable of creating/following systems.
  • Requires a valid Driver's License and High School Diploma/Equivalent.
