Job Description

The Chief Information Officer (CIO) is responsible for the strategic and operational leadership of SEEBURGER’s global corporate IT and business systems and reports directly to the Executive Board. The aim of this position is to provide a high-performance, secure, and scalable IT platform that sustainably supports growth, operational excellence, and the further development of the business model.

The CIO combines strategic vision with operational excellence and translates business requirements into robust, future-proof technology solutions. In a globally oriented, security-critical environment, they ensure that IT acts as an integral part of value creation and actively contributes to the transformation of the company.

Tasks and Responsibilities
  • Overall responsibility for all IT services, systems, and platforms, as well as their consistent alignment with the company and product strategy
  • Definition and management of a holistic IT and business systems strategy, including Enterprise Architecture (infrastructure, cloud, data, applications)
  • Ensuring a stable, secure, and scalable IT operation (availability, performance, incident management)
  • Establishment of effective governance structures (budget, PMO, compliance, security, data protection)
  • Driving modernization, automation, and AI-supported transformation
  • End-to-end responsibility for business applications to ensure efficiency, standardization, and business fit
  • Management of IT finances, vendor management, and cost optimization
  • Close collaboration with the CISO to integrate operations, security, and compliance
  • Building and further developing a high-performing global IT organization
  • Ensuring transparency, controllability, and value contribution of IT through an effective CIO Office
Requirements Profile
  • More than 10 years of leadership experience in IT organizations with global responsibility
  • Proven success in operating and transforming complex, distributed IT and system landscapes
  • Broad technological expertise in infrastructure, cloud platforms (AWS), Microsoft ecosystem, and enterprise applications
  • Deep understanding of IT security, compliance, and enterprise architecture
  • Strong stakeholder management skills at C-level as well as high communication and assertiveness skills
  • Experience in vendor management, contract negotiation, and cost control
  • Business-fluent German and English, both written and spoken

  • Experience with IT service management frameworks (e.g., ITIL)
  • Academic background in computer science, IT management, or equivalent
  • Experience in scaling global IT organizations and managing comprehensive transformation programs
