A German teacher is part of the foreign language education department at a school. As a German teacher, your primary responsibility is teaching students the German language and culture. Your job duties include planning curriculum based on your students’ proficiency level, implementing lesson plans, creating opportunities for your students to practice reading, speaking, listening, and writing, and evaluating your students’ learning progress. In addition to language practice, you show your students videos, music, and other examples of German culture, including sharing traditional German foods and activities.
