Job description:

NOTE: This job is located in Imlay, NV

This position will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the geothermal power plants. . Geothermal energy experience a plus, however, excellent work ethic, reliability, integrity, and willingness to learn are essential.

Essential Functions:

  • Monitor equipment by measure, record, and adjust accordingly to plant-operating criteria
  • Perform daily maintenance such as greasing and aligning motors, repairing, and replacing sensors, gauges, relays, etc.
  • Used prescribed plant operating procedures to conduct efficient and effective plant uptime while maximizing plant output
  • Assist in the maintenance and construction-related activities in and around the plant
  • Perform regular upkeep of maintenance and housekeeping in the shop /office facilities and power plant grounds
  • Collaborates with the team to develop and implement maintenance and quality assurance
  • Conducts all work with “Safety” emphasis and a priority of all individuals onsite, and the safety of company resources
  • Performs general construction knowledge on the property (welding, plumbing, electrical, framing, etc.)
  • Operates rolling equipment
  • Monitors and handles chemicals for the prevention of pipeline corrosion
  • Maintains daily logs and reports as required
  • Work overtime, weekends, holidays, etc. as required to complete the job necessary
  • Responsible for immediate reporting of all accidents and incidents
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Ability to operate service truck, backhoe, forklift, or manlift on regular basis
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and basic understanding of chemistry, physics, electricity, and mathematics.
  • Ability to work at our various plants on occasion as needed
  • Knowledge of and compliance with all OHSA safety procedures and protocol
  • Ability to work as a team and share knowledge
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Possess a valid state driver’s license
  • Ability to pass pre-employment drug testing, and random tests during employment

Education and Experience:

  • Minimum High School diploma or equivalent

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • General maintenance knowledge

Physical Requirements:

  • Requires heavy exertion in forms of pushing, pulling, lifting, and carrying heavy objects constantly
  • Ability to climb, work at elevated platforms, ladders, and walkways frequently
  • Requires ability to work from high elevations and over platforms consistently
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time consistently
  • Ability to stoop, bend or kneel frequently
  • Ability to work in all weather conditions up to 70% of time outdoors, year-round
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs consistently
  • Must be able to traverse all areas of construction sites and/or Power Plant
  • Must be able to travel to various locations
  • Must be able to operate a company vehicle with a valid driver’s license
