Overview
Geospatial Engineer - Multiple Positions at Junior/Mid/Senior Levels
NV5 Geospatial (NV5G) is actively recruiting qualified and cleared Geospatial Engineers to support national security client sites in the Northern Virginia and St. Louis, MO areas. Candidates will support mission-critical Intelligence Community and Department of War projects by designing, analyzing, and supporting geospatial data, systems, and workflows. This role leverages GIS expertise and Esri technologies to deliver high-quality geospatial products, analysis, and user support in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. A Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility or an active TS/SCI are required conditions of employment.
Work Environment:
  • Location: St. Louis, MO Area (St. Louis, MO and/or St. Charles, MO)
  • Travel up to 15% of the time

Responsibilities
  • Collect, analyze, validate, and manage geospatial data using GIS, remote sensing, and GPS tools
  • Design, build, maintain, and test geospatial databases and enterprise geodatabases
  • Perform spatial analysis and GIS processing using ArcGIS and related Esri products
  • Develop and maintain automated workflows and scripts using Python and SQL
  • Produce maps, web maps, and visualizations to support analysis and decision making
  • Integrate geospatial data with other datasets to generate actionable insights
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for GIS users and systems
  • Support data automation, migration, and database development efforts
  • Coordinate tasks with project and technical managers
  • Document processes, results, and customer interactions

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
  • US citizenship with Active or Current (within two years of active) Top Secret Security Clearance with SCI eligibility
  • Bachelor's degree in Geography, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), geospatial engineering, computer scient or a related field
  • 2+ years of professional experience using GIS technologies
  • Knowledge of Windows environments
  • Proficiency with Esri products (ArcGIS Desktop, Enterprise, and Online)
  • Experience with spatial analysis, GIS workflows, and database development
  • Working knowledge of relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL)
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and communication skills
  • Ability to manage priorities and work effectively in a team environment

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in technical support or customer facing GIS roles
  • Experience with data conversion or migration
  • Knowledge of Linux and UNIX environments
  • Familiarity with web mapping and remote sensing tools
  • Proficiency in Python scripting and SQL
  • GIS certifications

Clearance Requirement:
  • Active/Current Top Secret Clearance with SCI Eligibility
