Geospatial Analyst

The Opportunity:

Critical decisions are made every single day in our government and military. What if you could use your analytical skills to help them make informed decisions? With all the information available today, it takes a skilled analyst to know how to find and interpret the best data to give their clients the right answers. As a geospatial analyst, you use your specialized regional and functional experience and your attention to detail to develop intelligence products and analytic assessments to give your client the actionable intelligence and context they need. If you have strong analytical skills and a problem-solving mindset, we have an opportunity to use those skills to support our warfighters, protect our national security, and inform our nation's leaders.

As a geospatial analyst on our team, you'll use Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and other analytic tools to develop intelligence products that will support the warfighter. You'll aggregate and analyze geospatial information and produce visualizations and modeling to support the production of intelligence reports. You'll assist in identifying key locations and personalities within high-priority networks. You'll also act as a strong collaborator and mission-focused team member who is comfortable working with other analysts, mission partners, and customers.

You Have:

  • 3+ years of experience with using GIS, including ESRI ArcGIS, Google Earth,GeoMediaPRO, or QGIS to conduct GEOINT analysis in the DoD
  • 3+ years of experience with conducting open-source data collection, analysis, evaluation, and dissemination
  • Experience with creating intelligence products supporting mission requirements
  • Experience in representing an office or organization to internal and external audiences and providing customer service
  • Experience working in multidisciplinary teams
  • Experience supporting strategic- and operational-level customers
  • Knowledge of GEOINT databases, including commercial databases
  • TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
  • HS diploma or GED

  • Experience with using business technologies, including Adobe Acrobat, Adobe Creative Suite, or Microsoft Office Suite
  • Knowledge of Python and other coding languages
  • Knowledge of DoD and intelligence community missions
  • Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $77,600.00 to $176,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
