Intel Foundry - Advanced Packaging Technology and Manufacturing (APTM) is seeking an Intern in Data Science and Analytics to join our operations team.

In this role, you will gain hands-on experience collecting, analyzing, and interpreting large-scale datasets using statistical methods and programming techniques. Working closely with system software engineers and semiconductor IT engineers, you will help uncover patterns, insights, and key failure signatures that drive informed business and manufacturing decisions in advanced packaging.

You will leverage cutting-edge data tools to analyze complex datasets, enabling users to better interpret results, inventory status, and improve overall manufacturing performance. Your work will directly contribute to the development of data models, dashboards, and visualizations that support factory business operations, optimize throughput, and enhance decision-making capabilities.

This position offers a unique opportunity to apply data science principles in a high-impact semiconductor manufacturing environment while contributing to critical initiatives that improve user experience and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Contribute to the collection, analysis, and interpretation of large operational datasets

Assist in building data models, dashboards, and visualizations that support business decision-making and operational improvements

Develop scalable data models to help reduce time spent manually gathering key business metrics

Translate business requirements into technical requirements for IT partnerships

Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and engineers on data-driven projects

Support data storytelling initiatives to communicate insights to stakeholders

Present business impact of analytical work to senior leadership

Learn and apply knowledge while building skills in a collaborative environment

Qualifications:

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum qualifications and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your schoolwork, classes, research, relevant previous job, and/or internship experiences.

Minimum Qualifications

Currently pursuing or recently completed Bachelor's/Master's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related analytical field

Academic coursework or project experience in data analysis and statistical methods

Knowledge at least one of the following: SQL, Python, R, or similar programming languages

Experience with data visualization tools (Power BI or similar)

Experience in statistics and data modeling concepts


Preferred Qualifications

Coursework or experience in manufacturing, operations, or supply chain analytics

Familiarity with Power Query M, DAX, and advanced Power BI features

Experience with Azure Analysis Services or SQL Server Analysis Services

Experience with Copilot or AI capabilities

Knowledge of Python and R programming languages

Understanding of database management and data warehousing concepts

Previous internship or project experience in data science or analytics
